Hi, I'm Michael Rascon, a graphic designer, illustrator, and brand designer with a soft spot for record covers, LEGO, and the smell of a fresh screen-printed poster.
I believe great design comes from staying curious about the world beyond the computer. The things I collect, watch, and build in my spare time inspire new ideas in my work.

I enjoy seeing how small, well-designed LEGO pieces come together to create something much bigger.

Music & Vinyl Records
Album art from the '70s and '90s has always inspired me. The type, layouts, and record labels still shape how I think about color and mood.

Painting & Drawing
Painting and sketching help me stay creative. A lot of my illustration ideas begin on canvas or in a sketchbook before I bring them into the computer.

Drawing
My sketchbook is where many of my ideas begin. These pieces include a charcoal portrait study, a pen and ink desert scene, and a mixed media piece made with watercolor, oil pastel, ink, and pencil.
Where this site came from
I painted this design on my wall first.
The shapes, colors, and energy of this site started with a Memphis style pattern I painted on my bedroom wall. This site brings that same design into a digital space.

I use AI to brainstorm ideas, explore options, and speed up a few production steps. The design choices, drawings, and final files still come from me. It supports my process, but it does not replace it.
